Research School member Mari Salberg writes about the importance of the National Research Schools in forskerforum.no. While the NIFU evaluation of the schools shows that students in the National Research Schools do not go faster through their PhD programs, Salberg argues that the Research Schools are important to secure a high quality of the PhDs and to prepare the students for a career as researchers.
