Battles Without Bullets
During the last decades, nonviolent movements placed themselves in the limelight by challenging autocratic regimes. These events emphasise the importance of researching nonviolent conflict. This project will explore the variation in the onset, dynamics, and outcomes of nonviolent conflict in the form of a composite dissertation. The project will incorporate four sub-projects on these three themes using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The project includes a study on the potential impact of gender equality on the onset of nonviolent and armed conflict respectively.
