Legal accountability Frameworks for Private Military and Security Companies
This project engages with the expanding range of contexts in which private military and security companies (PMSCs) are active, and examines the applicability of the various regulatory frameworks relevant to those situations including international humanitarian law, human rights law, corporate law, tort law, and regulatory frameworks. With an emphasis on accountability to publics, this thesis, through a critical analysis of the contemporary legal accountability frameworks that may apply to PMSCs, seeks to theorise accountability.
