Differentiating Conflicts: Perpetrators, Victims, and Human Rights Violations
My PhD research looks at conflicts, human rights violations and the behaviour of combatants in conflict and how their conditions can cause the use of non-targeted violence against civilians. My research focuses on trying to understand better ways of protecting civilians in conflict. My research aims to provide the peacekeeping operations with clear cut solutions that help practitioners to better understand the use and movement of violence in conflict. My field experience ranges from Nepal, Botswana, Ghana, South Africa, Mauritius, Uganda, Botswana, Nepal, United Kingdom and South Sudan where I currently work as a civil affairs officer for UNMISS.
