Course Description:

Course Content

​The contents of the course are statistical analysis of survival models, panel models, and multilevel models with Stata, customized Norwegian doctoral level. The term paper should be an independent discussion of one of these analysis techniques, and should be between 15-20 pages. The term paper should be an independent treatment of one of these analytical techniques, and may have a length of 15-20 pages.

Learning outcome

Knowledge: The student shall have achieved an insight into analysis of survival models, panel models, and multilevel models. Skills: The student shall demonstrate the ability to treat one of the themes that has been discussed during instruction in an independent manner through written work at a high international standard.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and seminars will be given from August 11 to August 15, 2014. Compulsory activity: Obligatory assignments and participation in lectures. Form of assessment: Paper.

Master's degree in Sociology/Political Science or equivalent
